It applies when you visit frydesignco.com (the "Site"), buy a stock plan or blueprint package, work with us on a custom home design, sign up for our emails or texts, download one of our guides, or otherwise contact us. Together, these are our "Services."

Fry Design Co is a residential design firm based in Guthrie, Oklahoma. In this policy, "you" and "your" mean anyone who uses our Services, whether you are a customer, a design client, or a website visitor.

Please read this policy carefully. By using our Services, you agree to the collection, use, and sharing of your information as described here. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. When we do, we will post the revised policy on the Site, update the "Last updated" date above, and take any other steps required by law.

  • Account information, such as your username, password, and security questions.

  • Shopping information, such as the plans you view, add to your cart, or save to your wishlist.

  • Design project information, if you work with us on a custom home or plan modification. See "Custom Design Projects" below.

  • Marketing sign-ups, such as the email address or mobile number you give us to download a guide, join our email list, or receive text messages.

  • Customer support information, such as anything you include when you email, call, text, message us on social media, or fill out a form on the Site.

Some features require certain information. You can choose not to provide it, but you may not be able to use those features.

Information we collect automatically

When you use the Site, we automatically collect information about your visit ("Usage Data") using cookies, pixels, and similar technologies ("Cookies"). Usage Data can include your device and browser type, your IP address, information about your network connection, the pages and plans you view, how you arrived at the Site (for example, from a Pinterest pin or a Google search), and how you interact with our emails and ads.

Information we get from third parties

We may receive information about you from vendors and service providers who work on our behalf, including:

  • Shopify, which hosts our online store and processes orders.

  • Payment processors, which collect payment information (such as card details and billing address) to complete your purchase. We do not store your full card number.

  • Advertising and social media platforms, such as Pinterest, Google, Meta (Facebook and Instagram), and TikTok, which may share information about how you interact with our ads and content.

  • Our marketing and CRM platform (GoHighLevel), which collects information when you fill out a form, book a consultation, or open and click our emails or texts.

We treat information from third parties in line with this policy. We are not responsible for the accuracy of information third parties give us, or for their own policies and practices.

How We Use Your Personal Information

  • Providing plans and services. We use your information to process payments, deliver your digital plan files and blueprint packages, create and manage your account, send order confirmations and updates, handle returns or exchanges, and let you post reviews.

  • Custom design work. We use the information you share with us to design your home, prepare 3D models and walkthroughs, hold design reviews (including by video call), and coordinate with your builder, lender, or local building authority when you ask us to.

  • Marketing and advertising. We use your information to send you emails, text messages, or mail about new plans, guides, and services, and to show you ads on other websites and social platforms. This can include using your information to tailor what you see on our Site and in our ads. You can opt out at any time (see "Your Rights and Choices").

  • Improving our Site and Services. We use Usage Data to understand which plans and pages people find useful, fix problems, and improve the Site.

  • Security and fraud prevention. We use your information to detect, investigate, and act on possible fraud, illegal activity, or misuse of the Services. If you create an account, please keep your login details private, and contact us right away if you think your account has been compromised.

  • Communicating with you. We use your information to answer your questions, provide customer support, and maintain our relationship with you.

  • Legal and business purposes. We also use your information to comply with the law, enforce our terms, and protect the rights, property, and safety of Fry Design Co, our customers, and others.

Cookies

Like most websites, we use Cookies on our Site. We use them to run and improve the Site (for example, to keep items in your cart and remember your preferences), to measure how people use the Site, and to understand which ads and pins bring people to us. For details on the Cookies Shopify uses to power our store, see Shopify's cookie policy.

We also allow advertising and analytics partners, such as Google, Pinterest, and Meta, to place Cookies on our Site. These partners use them to measure our ads and to show you more relevant ads on other websites and apps.

Most browsers accept Cookies by default. You can set your browser to remove or reject them, though some parts of the Site, such as the cart and checkout, may not work properly without them. Blocking Cookies may not fully stop information from being shared with our advertising partners. You can also use the cookie preferences banner on our Site, where available, to manage your choices.

How We Share Personal Information

We may share your personal information for legitimate business purposes, including:

  • With service providers who work on our behalf, such as website hosting and e-commerce (Shopify), payment processing, CRM, email, and text messaging (GoHighLevel), video conferencing, cloud storage, data analytics, and IT support.

  • With business and marketing partners, including Shopify, Google, Pinterest, and Meta, to provide our Services and to show you ads. These partners use your information under their own privacy policies.

  • With people you ask us to work with, such as your builder, contractor, lender, engineer, or building department, when you direct us to share your plans or project details.

  • When you direct or consent to it, such as when you use a social media sign-in or sharing button.

  • In a business transaction, such as a merger, sale of assets, or bankruptcy.

  • For legal reasons, to comply with the law (including subpoenas and similar requests), enforce our terms, and protect our rights or the rights and safety of others.

We do not sell or share mobile phone numbers or text messaging consent with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

We use this information only to design your home, prepare your plans and 3D walkthroughs, and support your build. We share it only with our service providers and with the builders, lenders, engineers, or building officials you ask us to work with. If we record a design review call, we will tell you first.

We will not use your home's design, renderings, or photos in our portfolio, website, or social media without your permission.

Reviews and Other Content You Post

We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their privacy or security practices. Please review their policies before sharing information with them. Information you share on social media may be visible to other users of those platforms. A link to another site does not mean we endorse it, unless we say so on the Site.

Children's Data

Our Services are meant for adults planning or building a home. They are not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has given us personal information, contact us using the details below and we will delete it.

As of the date of this policy, we do not have actual knowledge that we "sell" or "share" the personal information of anyone under 16 years of age.

Security and Retention of Your Information

We use reasonable measures to protect your information, but no system is completely secure, and information sent over the internet may not be secure in transit. Please do not send sensitive or confidential information, such as full card numbers or account passwords, by email or text.

How long we keep your information depends on why we have it. For example, we keep order records as long as needed for tax and accounting purposes, and we keep custom design project files so we can support your build, answer questions about your plans, and make revisions later. We also keep information as needed to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.

Your Rights and Choices

Depending on where you live, you may have some or all of the rights below. These rights are not absolute, may apply only in certain situations, and in some cases we may decline a request as the law allows.

  • Access. Ask what personal information we hold about you and how we use and share it.

  • Deletion. Ask us to delete the personal information we hold about you.

  • Correction. Ask us to correct inaccurate personal information.

  • Portability. Ask for a copy of your personal information, and in some cases ask us to send it to another company.

  • Opt out of sale, sharing, or targeted advertising. Tell us not to "sell" or "share" your personal information or use it for targeted advertising. You can do this through the "Your Privacy Choices" link in our Site footer. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we will treat it as an opt-out request for that browser and device where the law requires.

  • Restrict processing. Ask us to stop or limit how we process your personal information.

  • Withdraw consent. Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time.

  • Appeal. If we decline your request, you can appeal by replying to our response.

Emails and text messages

  • Email. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the link at the bottom of any email. We may still send you emails about your orders, account, or design project.

  • Text messages. If you sign up for texts, message frequency varies and message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any message to unsubscribe, or HELP for help. Consent to receive marketing texts is not a condition of any purchase.

How to make a request

You can exercise these rights through the links on our Site or by contacting us using the details below. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of them.

Before we respond, we may need to verify your identity, for example by asking for your email address or order details. You may also name an authorized agent to make a request for you. Before we act on an agent's request, we will ask for proof that you gave them permission, and we may ask you to confirm your identity with us directly.
